Go retro with the XSR900 GP
We do love a retro-styled bike, especially if it manages to blend modern technology and convenience with the design language of the past.
Yamaha's latest addition to their Sport Heritage range is the XSR900 GP. The XSR900 first appeared in 2016 has always a touch of retro goodness to it.
This latest version is styled to look like a 1980s racer - but rather than having the headaches that would be associated with buying an 80s bike today, the 890cc triple combined with rider aids pulled from the R1 will have you feeling like a racer without the added fear of being flung into oblivion.
That might sound like an odd way of pointing it - but Yamaha themselves put a whole section in the press release about how the bike has “good manners”.
”The English proverb 'Manners Maketh Man' derives from a shared understanding that courtesy, good manners and respect are essential to the preservation of good human interaction and relationships.”
Other than that, there’s not much more to say. It’s kinda like the MT09… but much cooler.
