New Norton Commandos on the way

Norton doesn't have a lot to talk about these days - at least not like the olden days of Isle on Man TT glory. But recently we've had a few new bikes to ogle - and now we can add a new Commando 691 to the list.

There'll be two versions - the SP and the CR - priced at £16,499 and £16,999, respectively.

Both versions of the new Commando are powered by a 961cc parallel twin, developing around 75bhp, adjustable Öhlins forks and rear suspension, Brembo brakes and a load of other trimmings - but essentially, they're both exactly the same bike - just with different styling options.

The biggest difference is that the SP has conventional upright handlebars whereas the CR goes for a lower-profile ‘clip on’ style.
